Congratulations to the Team
Our litigation team, spearheaded by Jess Raynor, along with Illinois based co-counsel Julie Trester of Cozen O’Connor, recently successfully litigated and resolved an employment claim brought against a client, a California based software company, that provides cloud data management software and services for the enterprise software market. The client was sued in Illinois state court, despite having no real presence within the state. We worked extensively with our client’s officers and its general counsel to coordinate strategy. After paring down plaintiff’s asserted claims, and filing a motion that could completely move the case from Illinois to California, the case was dismissed with prejudice. We are very pleased with the result on behalf of the firm’s client and extend our congratulations to the team!
