- “In recent years, there has been an increase in lawsuits against businesses, including small wineries, hotels, and restaurants, for not complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards.
- These lawsuits typically allege that the website of the business is not accessible to people with disabilities, such as visual or auditory impairments, which violates the ADA. While the intention of these lawsuits is to promote accessibility and inclusion for all, some lawyers have taken advantage of the situation to make quick profits by targeting small businesses with hefty fines and legal fees.”
