Seeking Helping Hands
The Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary in Arroyo Grande is seeking helping hands for donkey care. This is a great organization with amazing people involved (some of our staff included) and we encourage anyone who has an interest and time to volunteer. Thank you for your consideration.
Their Mission
“Our inspiration and advocacy began with an encounter with a sweet, gentle, and lonely donkey named Harry, who was cast out into a field on the side of Highway 101. He belonged to the property owner, but the owner was not living there. They were treating him as their lawnmower and weed control with no balanced diet or consistent access to water. Although his health was rapidly declining we were not able to rescue Harry and he died of neglect. ” — Mission of Rancho Burro
