Susan B. Thompson, an attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing financial institutions, has joined Carmel & Naccasha, LLP as Of Counsel, offering her legal expertise to its clients. 

Thompson concentrates her practice primarily on financial institutions, private debt and equity lenders, investment bankers and borrowers in real estate and commercial financial transactions, including loan documentation, acquisitions and dispositions, commercial lending, loan sales, asset-based lending, inter-creditor finance structuring, work-outs, settlements, special assets and various banking matters. Her experience in construction and real estate transactions will complement and provide additional depth to current Carmel & Naccasha services. 

Prior to entering private practice, Thompson served as in-house counsel for a California chartered bank, documenting and negotiating complex financial transactions, handling special assets, foreclosures, REO sales, loan workouts, loan sales and settlements, providing regulatory advice and assisting with general legal and compliance matters. 

Thompson earned a Juris Doctor at the University of Montana School of Law and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Montana. She has been admitted to both the Montana Bar and California Bar.
