Carmel & Naccasha thanks San Luis Obispo employment attorney Lisa Lazzara who almost singlehandedly makes certain that the Little Free Food Pantry at the corner of Pismo and Nipomo streets in Downtown SLO is filled with food and available for individuals and families, housed or unhoused, who may be food insecure.
The Little Free Food Pantries were started by individuals during the height of the COVID pandemic as a means of providing food and clothing in a secure way. There are many Little Free Pantries throughout San Luis Obispo. A list can be found on Facebook here. Carmel & Naccasha recently contributed $150 to the effort so that Lazzara could purchase and provide additional food items to address the needs of local residents in need of a hand up. She has observed that as we move farther away from the urgency of the pandemic there are fewer people contributing to the network of Little Free Food Pantries on a regular basis.
Our firm salutes Lisa for her efforts as well as those individuals and businesses who participate in assisting our community in a meaningful way.
