On November 4, 2019 Carmel & Naccasha partner, Dallas K. Mosier, joined Mark Corella from Wells Fargo Bank, Mical Bovee from Glenn Burdette, and Ken Long from SESLOC Federal Credit Union in judging ten aspiring entrepreneurs at the 10th Annual Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Elevator Pitch Competition.
It was a tough fought battle but the judges ultimately awarded a $1,000 prize to Alexandra Joelson and Tyler Litter, and the attendees selected Clara Brechtel as the $500 viewers’ choice winner (pictured).
The margin of victory was slim, and Adi Mahan, Aimee Carvajal, Kyle Friedman, Madison Lewandowski, Lennette Espinoza, Nathan Brickman, and Brian Mauck had compelling pitches that we’ll look forward to seeing launch as businesses.
On top of the excitement of the competition, the crowd had the opportunity to fire questions at Pashion Footware founder and Hailey Pavone, who did a great job under pressure.
