The California Special Districts Association (CSDA) is a non-profit association that promotes good governance and improved core local services through professional development, advocacy, and other services for all types of independent special districts. Special districts include water, park and recreation, fire, harbor and community services districts among others.
The San Luis Obispo Chapter of the CSDA is composed of many of the special districts located in SLO County. On February 27, 2015, at the SLO Chapter’s annual dinner, Assembly Member Katcho Achadjian was recognized as the 2014 Legislator of the Year. Assembly Member Achadjian was selected because of his “non-partisan spirit, support of local control, and close work with the local service specialists responsible for delivering water, fire protection, parks, healthcare and other essential services.”
Carmel & Naccasha represents numerous special districts throughout the County and attorneys Ziyad Naccasha and Heather Whitham were present at the SLO Chapter of the CSDA annual dinner. Heather had an opportunity to talk with Assembly Member Achadjian and thank him for his service to our County. Carmel & Naccasha is grateful to be part of such a politically active community where public officials care about local community needs and are accessible to the community.
