“Working Lunch” With Ziyad Naccasha

KCBX’s Issues and Ideas Program

Earlier this week on SLO’s local KCBX (90.1 FM) radio, Carmel & Naccasha Managing Partner Ziyad Naccasha was interviewed by Jim Dantona, president and CEO of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, for the “Working Lunch” segment on KCBX’s Issues and Ideas program. The “Working Lunch” segment, was started during COVID as a way to connect with the community during the pandemic and has been interviewing thriving family-friendly businesses since. In this episode, Z shares his involvement in the We Are the Care Initiative, and how he was won over to family-friendly workplace practices. Carmel & Naccasha was among the first companies in the County to achieve Family Friendly Workplace status.

The SLO Chamber partnered with First 5 San Luis Obispo County and a coalition of community, business and government leaders to address our local child care crisis. The We Are the Care Initiative believes that the suggested supportive practices increase organizational productivity AND support the physical and emotional health of employees and their families.
