Carmel & Naccasha Managing Partner Ziyad Naccasha recently attended ‘A Conversation with…Bill Swanson’ hosted by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
A Cal Poly magna cum laude industrial engineering graduate, Mr. Swanson retired as the CEO of Raytheon Corporation in 2014 after 42-plus years with the company.
Through the Conversation Series, the Chamber introduces members to a wide range of business leaders as they share their philosophies on work and life. This event was billed as an intimate conversation with Mr. Swanson and executive editor of The Tribune, Sandy Duerr.
Some of Mr. Naccasha’s main ‘take aways’ fro the conversation included:
• Culture trumps strategy;
• Strive to be the most admired company and want your employees to be the best recruits out there;
• Strive for innovative solutions and for the best solutions in the world;
• Platform at work – treat people the way they want to be treated;
• And the most important thing: your life is your network.
