Product liability is the area of law in which manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and others who make products available to the public could be held responsible for should any injury be sustained by that product. This area of law is traditionally limited to products that are in the form of tangible personal property.
Our attorneys practicing in this area advise clients who place products in “the stream of commerce” on methods to reduce their risk of liability and defend these clients in lawsuits that are brought against them in connection with those products.
Healthcare regulation involves the representation of nearly every kind of health care provider in licensing issues including applications, investigations, accusations and petitions for reinstatement, health care practice issues, hospital privileges, peer review and health plan credentialing issues and related administrative litigation.
Licensing agencies both inside and outside of the Department of Consumer Affairs govern the livelihoods of many businesses such as card rooms and casinos, contractors, accountants, restaurants and bars, professional fiduciaries, immigration consultants, real estate professionals, and many others. Services provided help these licensees apply for a license, change ownership of a business or represent a client involved in a lawsuit or disciplinary action.
